It is possible due to XDA developer Guitardedhero who has provided a stable build of Dolby Atmos for Android 8.0 Oreo-based device. The build has been tried on ZTE Axon 7 and it worked perfectly. This is an initial release and it is expected to work on all devices running on Android 8.0 Oreo. The app comes with dialogue enhancer, surround virtualizer and volume leveler and these controls are not available accurate on any other audio app. You will also get the option of Intelligent Equalizers mode which you can set rather than the manual mode.

Steps To Install Dolby Atmos On Android 8.0 Oreo Based Devices (Axon 7 Port)
Step 1. Download Dolby Atmos from the download section above and store it on your device’s storage. Step 2. Switch off your device and reboot it to TWRP recovery. There are different key combinations required based on your device and you should press the right key combination to reboot your device into TWRP mode. Step 3. In the recovery menu, go to Backup option and create a Nandroid Backup. Step 4. Go to the home menu of TWRP recovery menu and then select Install option and browse and select the downloaded Dolby Atmos file. Swipe to confirm the installation.
