How to fix VTOL Not Working in Modern Warfare 2

The VTOL or also known as the Vertical Take-Off and Landing is among the best killstreak rewards that players can get in Modern Warfare 2. With the ability to release bombs to enemies and guard a location of the player’s choice, this jet will help you be a step closer to victory. Unfortunately, many players have been facing this issue as they aren’t able to deploy it. If you are experiencing this issue, here are the methods to fix it.

Method 1: Restart the game

To fix this issue, you’ll have to restart the game. Even though this is the most basic troubleshooting method, it can help fix pesky bugs like this. If it doesn’t work, you should reboot your PC or console.

Method 2: Repair the game files

Another method that you can try would be to repair your game files via Battle.net and Steam. Both launchers come with a built-in feature, allowing them to verify your game files and download any missing files in the process. Here’s how to do that –

Battle.net

Launch Battle.net before selecting Modern Warfare 2 on the All Games tab Click on the gear icon beside the Play Button and then choose Scan and Repair Wait until the process gets finished

Steam

Launch Steam Hover the mouse over the Library tab before selecting Collections Right-click on the game and choose Properties Click on Local Files before selecting the Verify Integrity of Game Files option Wait until the files have been validated

Alternatively, players can see what the current server status is on Activision’s website. Details on any recent fixes or glitches in the game will be provided here. If players encounter the VTOL error, they are stuck with no options for recovery. Featured Image: CallofDuty
