How to navigate the battle pass in Modern Warfare 2?

If you have played the previous COD games, you might remember how linear and streamlined the Battle Pass setup used to be. This rings true for most Battle Pass designs in the majority of games. You start at the beginning and then proceed to unlock different things in order. There’s no way to reach the other items in the Battle Pass without gaining the previous ones first. In Modern Warfare 2, the Battle Pass system will take a turn. This is still a 100-tier structure like previously. Instead of a linear progression, the system will be laid-out on a multi-sector combat map. Activision has decided to implement this type of Battle Pass system as it hopes to make things less strict for players. This means that you’ve got more choices in what you wish to unlock first instead of the game forcing you down a specific path.

When you first launch the game, there’s a chance that the new Battle Pass map might be confusing to navigate. There’s a lot to take in but it is still straightforward to navigate once you’ve learned everything. The map grid has been broken down into different sectors, ranging from A0 to A20. A20 is a bonus sector that isn’t connected to anything else. Each of the sectors have 5 rewards like skins and weapons. You need to gain the first four before you’re able to access the final reward. You will require Battle Token Tier Skips earned by playing the game. Moreover, in the new Battle Pass system in Modern Warfare 2, finishing one sector unlocks the ones adjacent to it. For instance, once you finish A1, the sectors A2 and A3 will be unlocked as they’re adjacent to the A1 sector. You will be able to choose which on to go from here. Featured Image: CallofDuty
